How To Add An Email Account On A Samsung Galaxy 4

Find out how to add an email account on your Samsung Galaxy S4, just follow these simple steps.

  • Start on your Home screen and tap All applications.
  • Tap Email.
  • Enter your Email address.
  • Enter your Password.
  • Tap Manual setup.
  • Select the type of account: POP3 or IMAP.

 

Incoming server settings

  • Email address = Customer's email address
  • Username = Customer's username.
  • Password = Customer's password.
  • POP/IMAP server = Enter server information (server.hbwebhost.com).
  • Security type = Select from list NONE (if you did not purchase an SSL Certificate).
  • Port = Enter server port details 995.
  • Tap Next.

 

Outgoing server settings

  • SMTP server = Enter server information (server.hbwebhost.com).
  • Security type = Select from list NONE.
  • Port = Enter server port details 465.
  • Require sign in = Tick.
  • Username = Customer's username.
  • Password = Customer's password.
  • Tap Next.

 

Account options

  • Email check frequency = Customer's choice.
  • Notify me when new mail arrives = Customer's choice.
  • Tap Next.

 

Set up email

  • Account name = Customer's choice.
  • Your name = Customer's choice.
  • Tap Done.


**IMPORTANT**
If you have puchased an SSL Certificate then the Security type is SSL and the port will be as follows:

Incoming Ports

  • Secure POP3 - port 995
  • Secure IMAP - port 993

Outgoing Ports

The outgoing mail is always SMTP, whether using IMAP or POP.

Secure SMTP - port 465
